We've Got The Jazz! Vol. 7 - Urban Repurpose/Teardown
For the next edition of We've Got The Jazz!, guitarist David Lavoie presents music from his collaborative albums Teardown and Urban Repurpose, created with Vancouver-based producer and electronic musician Carson Tworow. For this performance, Lavoie will be joined by Calgary bassist Jeff Gammon.
Written between Calgary and Vancouver, the project blends modern jazz with electronic textures while reflecting on the changing urban landscape of Western Canada. Teardown takes its name from a familiar sight across our cities, where heritage homes disappear and new builds quickly take their place. The music explores that tension between history, renewal, and the spaces we inhabit.
Join us for an intimate evening of contemporary jazz with two sets from two of Calgary's most creative players.
Guests are encouraged to enjoy dinner and drinks throughout the evening. Reservations are aligned with the music to create a relaxed flow. Live sets begin at 6:30 pm and 8:00 pm. Smaller groups are seated for up to 90 minutes, larger groups for up to two hours.
